Amazon KDP Audit & Optimization Volunteer
We publish the CHARMS Book Series, a proprietary middle-grade educational fiction series designed to help girls ages 10–15 build life skills, improve literacy, and explore future careers through engaging stories and companion resources.
Our goal is to ensure each book is properly optimized within Amazon so that parents, educators, librarians, and gift buyers can easily find our books through relevant searches.
What We Need Help With
We need a volunteer to conduct a full audit of all books currently listed on Amazon and identify opportunities to improve visibility, search ranking, and conversions.
Specifically, we need support in reviewing and optimizing:
1. Product descriptions and sales copy
2. Backend keywords and metadata
3. Categories and subcategories
4. Audience targeting and age range settings
5. Author profile and brand positioning
6. Series organization and consistency across listings
7. Development of A+ page build
8. Product page conversion opportunities
The volunteer will also evaluate whether each listing clearly communicates:
- Who the books are for
- What skills they teach
- Why they are unique
- Why buyers should purchase them
The ideal outcome is a clear audit and recommendation report that includes:
1. Key issues identified across all listings
2. Recommended metadata improvements
3. Keyword opportunities
4. Category optimization suggestions
5. Listing enhancement recommendations
6. Best practices for improving search visibility and sales performance
We are looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following:
- Amazon KDP publishing
- Amazon SEO / search optimization
- Book marketing
- Product listing optimization
- E-commerce conversion strategy
Experience helping authors, publishers, or brands improve performance on Amazon is strongly preferred.
The ultimate goal is to improve Amazon visibility, increase discoverability, and drive stronger book sales by ensuring every listing is strategically optimized.
The CHARMS Book Series serves as both a mission-driven educational resource and an important revenue stream for our nonprofit. Revenue generated through book sales helps fund our literacy, life skills, career exploration, and STEM-focused programs for girls ages 10–15.
By improving how our books appear and perform on Amazon, we can reach more families, educators, schools, and libraries nationwide. Increased sales will help create more predictable earned revenue, reducing dependence on grants and donations alone.
