Operational Budgeting & Growth Forecasting for Expansion

AiArthritis is 15 this year and we are expanding tremendously after becoming a million dollar organization in 2025. We are on track to close at 1.5 million in 2026, 2 million in 2027 - all while significantly expanding our staff (3-5 new people in the next few months).

Historically we have been able to simply reference our close of year accounting numbers to establish a realistic operations budget. Now we are getting too big and need help determining how to establish a realistic budget for the remainder of 2026 and into 2027 - particularly to ensure we have enough funds to pay the people we need to complete our work.

At the end of this project the volunteer will have helped us complete an updated operational budget for 2026, considering our continued staff needs in 2026, and provide us with the tools necessary to accurately create a 2027 operations budget that also incorporates more planned growth. Ultimately, this work will ensure we budget properly for staffing needs while ensuring we do not risk running out of funds in the process.

Whomever helps with this initiative will always be credited with being a part of our growth and organizational health as we move from small to mid-sized organization! This ask is vital for us to apply for upcoming grants applications that aim to diversity our funding portfolio and will be used to scale our existing work ten-fold. This means we will be able to help 1,000's more lives.

This volunteer will work directly with the CEO (lead fundraiser), grant writer, and accountant as needed to produce a realistic operations budget. We are a highly engaging, productive group of passionate professionals eager to ensure our growth is both sustainable and economically possible. We will be accessible via email, phone, zoom meetings - whatever it takes!
