Social Media Launch Campaign
Phoebe's Safe Haven is a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating fully ADA-accessible safe housing and support services for women with disabilities who are survivors of domestic violence. As a startup nonprofit, we need strategic, mission-driven content that introduces our organization, tells our story, and inspires people to become involved.
We are looking for a volunteer to develop compelling social media copy that will:
* Announce the official launch of Phoebe's Safe Haven.
* Introduce our mission, vision, and the community we serve.
* Share our founder's story and the inspiration behind the organization.
* Educate the public about the unique barriers faced by women with disabilities experiencing domestic violence.
* Build awareness and establish credibility within our community.
* Recruit volunteers for a variety of organizational roles.
* Encourage individual donations and recurring monthly supporters.
* Inspire corporate sponsors, foundations, and grant funders to learn more about our work.
* Attract community partners, healthcare organizations, disability advocates, domestic violence agencies, churches, businesses, and civic organizations interested in collaborating with us.
Deliverables:
We hope to collaborate with the volunteer to create:
* A strategic social media launch campaign (approximately 4–6 weeks of content)
* Social media copy for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
* Engaging captions with calls-to-action
* Suggested hashtag strategy
* Content themes that can be repurposed throughout the year
* Messaging that aligns with our brand voice of compassion, hope, dignity, empowerment, accessibility, and advocacy
What We Will Provide
To help the volunteer succeed, we will provide:
* Our mission, vision, and core values
* Brand guidelines (colors, fonts, logo, and messaging)
* Founder story and organizational background
* Existing website content and marketing materials
* Target audience information
* Examples of organizations we admire
* Regular collaboration and timely feedback throughout the project
By the end of this engagement, we hope to have a cohesive collection of launch-ready social media content that raises awareness, inspires action, and helps build the community of volunteers, donors, funders, and partners needed to advance our mission of making safety accessible for every survivor.
Phoebe's Safe Haven was founded to address a critical gap in services for women with disabilities who are survivors of domestic violence. Too often, survivors with disabilities face inaccessible shelters, limited resources, and additional barriers to finding safety, independence, and healing. Our mission is to change that by creating fully ADA-accessible safe housing and comprehensive support services designed specifically for their unique needs.
As a newly launched nonprofit, building awareness is one of our greatest opportunities and one of our biggest challenges. This project will provide the messaging needed to introduce Phoebe's Safe Haven to our community, educate the public about the need for accessible services, and inspire people to become part of the solution.
The volunteer's work will directly support our ability to recruit dedicated volunteers, engage donors, attract grant funders, build relationships with corporate and community partners, and establish the public presence necessary to grow our programs. Strong storytelling and clear calls to action will help us reach individuals and organizations who share our commitment to ensuring that no woman is denied safety because of a disability.
Beyond launching our organization, the content created through this project will become a lasting communications resource that supports future fundraising campaigns, volunteer recruitment, advocacy efforts, and community outreach. By helping us tell our story effectively, the volunteer will play an important role in building the foundation of an organization that strives to make safety, accessibility, dignity, and hope available to every survivor we serve.
This is more than a copywriting project—it is an opportunity to help launch a mission that will empower women with disabilities, strengthen communities, and create lasting change for survivors who have too often been overlooked. The volunteer's expertise will help amplify voices that deserve to be heard and inspire others to join us in making accessible safety a reality.
To support the project, we have already developed our mission, vision, core values, brand identity, logo, color palette, typography, and key messaging. We have also prepared our website content, organizational background, founder story, target audience information, and marketing materials that will serve as references throughout the engagement.
Our leadership team fully supports this project and recognizes that a strong social media presence is essential to building awareness and growing our community of supporters. The Executive Director will serve as the primary point of contact, provide timely feedback, answer questions promptly, and be available for scheduled check-ins to ensure the project stays on track.
We are also building our organizational infrastructure through additional volunteer support, including website development, graphic design, and administrative systems. This project will complement those efforts by providing compelling messaging that can be used across our website, social media platforms, email campaigns, volunteer recruitment, fundraising initiatives, and community outreach.
Once completed, the content will be implemented immediately as part of our official launch campaign across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. It will also become a long-term resource that our team can adapt for future awareness campaigns, volunteer recruitment, donor engagement, partnership outreach, and fundraising efforts.
We value our volunteers' time and expertise and are committed to being responsive, organized, and collaborative throughout the engagement. Our goal is to ensure the volunteer's work creates lasting value and helps establish a strong public presence that advances our mission of providing accessible safety, hope, and empowerment for women with disabilities who are survivors of domestic violence.
