Demo Review and Live Feedback for Emerging Web Designers

We are looking for an experienced professional to mentor our emerging filmmakers by providing written and live feedback on a batch of 6 to 10 web design demos from emerging designers. The demos are web page or landing page mockups built for film and nonprofit use, submitted through our structured online community. Your feedback is the deliverable, and it has a direct, immediate effect on who advances and what they learn.

Scope of work:
- Review a batch of 6 to 10 web design demo submissions (page or section mockups)
- Write specific notes on layout, usability, responsiveness, and visual hierarchy
- Join one live feedback session to react to demos in real time with the designers
- Offer light guidance on a small community web project or two
- Flag standout designers who are ready to help build film and org sites

The ideal volunteer is a working or experienced professional in this craft who remembers what it felt like to be starting out and wants to give the kind of honest, encouraging feedback they wish they had received. This project should take 12 to 20 hours to complete. We are hopeful that our volunteer partner will share 2 to 5 hours of their time per week.
Ineffable Films exists to open the film industry to emerging and underserved storytellers, the people who rarely get a foot in the door, let alone a mentor who will look at their work and tell them the truth kindly. A website is the front door to everything we do, and a designer who has never shipped for a real audience needs an experienced eye to level up.

This project directly serves emerging web and UX designers and students: students, first-generation filmmakers, and self-taught artists who found us on their own because they were hungry to grow. Many have never had a working professional respond to their work at all.

Here is the ripple effect. A few hours of your feedback does not just polish one demo. It tells a young filmmaker that their voice is worth investing in, it gives them a credit and a collaborator, and it can be the spark that turns a nervous first submission into a festival film. That is how stories travel, and how the people telling them finally get seen.
We have built a structured submission system inside our Open Hours community on GoHighLevel, where emerging filmmakers complete a short course, then submit a demo and a self-tape interview. That means web design demos arrive in one organized place, with context on each applicant, rather than scattered across inboxes. We also maintain a brand book, asset library, and example work that submitters are asked to review before they create.

The volunteer will work directly with our Founder and Chief of Staff, who will schedule the feedback sessions, hand off each batch of demos, and provide quick answers between calls. We are organized, responsive, and respectful of your time.

Once feedback is delivered, it routes straight back to each filmmaker inside the community, shapes who advances in the program, and helps us match people to real projects. Your guidance does not sit in a folder. It moves people forward the same week you give it.
