CEO Transition and Executive Leadership Coaching

Uplift Laundry Truck is seeking an experienced executive coach to support its Co-Founder/CEO’s transition into full-time executive leadership.

The volunteer will provide one-on-one coaching focused on establishing CEO-level priorities, delegating operational responsibilities, and preparing the CEO to lead Uplift’s continued growth and development of a healthcare coalition.

The volunteer will conduct a leadership needs assessment, establish clear coaching goals, and provide up to eight coaching sessions. Together, the volunteer and CEO will create a practical 12-month CEO Transition and Leadership Plan with clear priorities, responsibilities, leadership goals, and next steps.

By the end of the project, the CEO will be better prepared to lead strategically, evaluate new opportunities, communicate Uplift’s vision to funders and partners, and spend less time managing every daily operational task.

Uplift Laundry Truck provides free laundry services, hygiene supplies, and connections to community resources for families and individuals experiencing laundry insecurity across the Triangle.

Stronger executive leadership will help Uplift manage its growth, deepen partnerships with healthcare organizations, schools, and housing providers, and move toward developing a healthcare coalition focused on laundry insecurity as a social determinant of health.

This project will help the Co-Founder/CEO transition from managing most daily responsibilities to leading Uplift’s long-term strategy, partnerships, and expansion. The volunteer’s support will strengthen Uplift’s ability to serve more families while protecting the organization’s mission, sustainability, and community impact.

The Co-Founder/CEO is fully committed to the coaching process and will meet regularly with the volunteer. She will provide background on Uplift’s programs, recent growth, current responsibilities, partnerships, funding priorities, and leadership challenges.

Uplift’s leadership supports this project and is prepared to implement the recommendations developed through coaching. The CEO will complete agreed-upon activities between sessions and use the final plan to guide her priorities over the next 12 months.

Relevant organizational materials, timelines, upcoming opportunities, and meeting arrangements will be provided at the beginning of the engagement.
