A cleaned Katana inventory configuration with improved Shopify synchronization, documented reordering logic that considers seasonality and expirations, and concise training materials and SOPs for staff and trainees. Specific data access, timelines, and scope will be defined with volunteers during kickoff.
Improving inventory accuracy and reordering will reduce ingredient waste, save staff time, and increase reliable production. That stability supports living-wage employment and skill-building for formerly incarcerated women, advancing sustainable livelihoods and the structural change central to Benevolence Farm’s mission. We can also use the training materials to teach our formerly incarcerated employees a transferrable skill to use in their future jobs and careers.
We have identified inventory and syncing issues and are ready to collaborate with a volunteer team. Staff and trainees will participate in interviews and testing, and we will work with volunteers to define scope, share current examples, and pilot recommended changes. Details will be provided during project onboarding.
