About the Opportunity

ICERT scales its educational research and impacts global teaching communities through high-quality virtual events. To ensure these programs are sustainable and professional, we need a volunteer to help us document our processes into a repeatable resource. This toolkit will enable our staff and future volunteers to smoothly guide panels and facilitate inclusive education sessions.

You will work with our leadership team to:
• Standardize a 'Moderator's Guide' with scripts for introductions and facilitating Q&A panels.
• Create a technical 'Day-of-Event' checklist for platforms like Zoom/Teams.
• Design a workflow for coordinating speaker logistics and session materials.

This project will directly strengthen our ability to deliver scientific training and inclusive education globally by ensuring every event is hosted with a consistent, high-quality experience. By standardizing our moderation processes into an institutional toolkit, we can smoothly onboard student volunteers, broaden international collaboration, and securely scale our organization’s work in research, innovation, and public service.

We have full internal buy-in from our leadership team and will collaborate closely with the volunteer. We will provide examples of past event agendas, existing raw speaker contact workflows, panel formats, and direct access to our technical platform setups (Zoom/Teams) during a comprehensive kickoff meeting. Clear communication channels will be established to help the volunteer confidently gather the insights needed to structure the toolkit.
