Develop a Program Growth and Leadership Roadmap for an Immigrant-Led Nonprofit
As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking guidance on leadership development, team structure, operational priorities, and sustainable program growth. We are looking for a volunteer who can serve as a strategic thought partner while helping translate ideas and opportunities into a practical roadmap.
Over a 4–6 week engagement, the volunteer will help:
• Review our current program structure and leadership responsibilities
• Identify opportunities to strengthen team coordination and workflows
• Recommend approaches for managing and supporting a growing remote team
• Advise on leadership development priorities for the Program Director
• Provide guidance on program growth, operational planning, and organizational systems
• Develop a practical roadmap outlining key leadership and program priorities for the next 12 months
The primary deliverable will be a Program Growth and Leadership Roadmap that can guide organizational decision-making and future growth.
As our programs expand, strong leadership and organizational systems are essential to ensuring that we can continue serving communities effectively and sustainably. This project will help us strengthen our leadership capacity, improve coordination across teams, and make informed decisions about future growth.
By helping us develop a clear roadmap for leadership and program development, the volunteer will contribute to a stronger foundation for our organization and the communities we serve.
The impact of this work extends beyond internal planning. Stronger leadership and organizational systems allow us to deliver more effective programs, respond more thoughtfully to community needs, and create greater long-term impact for migrant and refugee communities around the world.
Our Executive Director and Program Director are aligned on the goals of this project and will actively support the engagement. We have existing organizational documentation, program information, team structures, and strategic context available to help the volunteer understand our current stage of growth.
The volunteer will have direct access to organizational leadership for discussions, feedback, and collaboration throughout the project. We are responsive, open to feedback, and committed to implementing recommendations that are practical and aligned with our mission.
The roadmap developed through this project will be used to guide leadership development, team planning, and program growth efforts over the coming year.
