We are looking for a skilled volunteer to help us assess our current operational workflows and develop a prioritized roadmap for responsible AI adoption. Specifically, we need support with:

-Reviewing 2–3 of our core workflows to document inefficiencies, manual bottlenecks, and technology gaps
-Conducting an AI readiness assessment that accounts for our team's capacity, risk considerations, and highest-impact opportunities
-Delivering a prioritized roadmap of 3–5 AI-enabled workflow improvements with clear rationale and recommended next steps— with human oversight built into each recommendation

The volunteer will work directly with 1–2 staff members over 4–6 weeks, dedicating approximately 2–5 hours per week, to help us move from AI curiosity to a clear, confident plan for adoption that keeps people at the center.
We have identified internal champions and have leadership buy-in to pursue this work. Staff members will be available for 2–3 working sessions and intake interviews to support the volunteer's assessment. While formal workflow documentation may be limited, we can walk the volunteer through our current processes and provide access to the tools and platforms we use today. At the close of the project, the roadmap will be reviewed with leadership and used to inform our technology planning and any future pro bono engagements.
Our team is deeply committed to our mission, but manual, disconnected workflows are consuming time and energy that should be directed toward the communities we serve. Staff are stretched thin, and developing a clear roadmap for AI implementation will help us operate more effectively and expand our impact. This project will give us the clarity and confidence to move forward thoughtfully, with the human in the loop at every stage, ensuring that any AI adoption enhances, rather than disrupts, the human-centered service model our participants and partners depend on. The roadmap produced through this engagement will directly shape how we operate and grow.

Organization Mission

Ms. JD seeks to support and improve the experiences of women law students and lawyers. Obstacles to equal participation hinder not only women in the law but also their colleagues, clients, children, and communities. Ms. JD consequently strives to give voice to why it matters that women continue to overcome barriers to achieve gender parity in the profession. In doing so, Ms. JD spreads the word: women’s victories are everyone’s victories.
