Volunteer Recruitment Strategy Consultant

We are seeking a skilled volunteer to help Maya's Hope create a sustainable volunteer recruitment and retention strategy that will support our continued growth.

As an organization serving children with disabilities and special needs in the Philippines and Ukraine, we rely heavily on dedicated volunteers to conduct family interviews, review applications, assist with fundraising, communications, and program support. We would like to develop a clear roadmap for attracting, screening, onboarding, and retaining qualified volunteers.

The ideal outcome of this project is a practical, actionable volunteer recruitment strategy that helps us build a strong pipeline of mission-driven volunteers, particularly interviewers who help assess families applying for assistance. We hope to establish systems and processes that can be replicated and scaled as our programs continue to grow.

Ultimately, this project will help ensure that more children receive timely support by strengthening the volunteer infrastructure that powers our work.

To ensure the project's success, Maya's Hope will provide the volunteer consultant with access to our current volunteer recruitment materials, role descriptions, application process, and onboarding resources. We will also share information about our existing volunteer structure, recruitment efforts, challenges, and organizational goals.

The consultant will work directly with the Executive Director and key volunteers who oversee recruitment and program operations. We will schedule regular check-in meetings throughout the project to provide feedback, answer questions, and review recommendations as they are developed.

We are committed to implementing practical recommendations and are looking for a strategy that can be realistically executed by a volunteer-run nonprofit.
