Strategic Partnerships Manager – Black Girl Magic Day

My goal for this Taproot Project is to create a sustainable partnerships and fundraising program that will help Black Girl Magic Day expand its impact and serve more girls and families.

Black Girl Magic Day is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls through education, leadership development, creativity, confidence-building experiences, and community engagement.

We are seeking a skilled volunteer who can help us strengthen our corporate partnership, sponsorship, and fundraising efforts. The volunteer will assist with identifying potential sponsors, researching partnership opportunities, developing outreach strategies, and creating systems that help us build and maintain long-term partner relationships.

Specifically, we would like assistance with:

• Identifying corporate sponsors and community partners aligned with our mission

• Developing a partnership and sponsorship prospect list

• Creating outreach and engagement strategies

• Recommending fundraising opportunities and partnership initiatives

• Helping establish systems and processes for long-term relationship management

The desired outcome is a clear partnership and fundraising strategy that supports the long-term sustainability and growth of Black Girl Magic Day.

Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will support our mission by helping us build the partnerships, sponsorships, and fundraising resources necessary to expand our impact and serve more girls and families.

My team and I have prepared for this project by identifying our partnership and fundraising goals and gathering materials that will help the volunteer understand our organization, programs, events, and community impact.

We will provide:

• Existing sponsor and partner information

• Access to leadership for feedback and decision-making

• Regular check-in meetings and timely communication

• Clear goals, priorities, and project expectations
