Insights and Publishing Framework for Community Learning
As our programs continue to grow, we are generating valuable learning, community insights, and program data across storytelling, integration, and economic mobility initiatives. We would like support designing a practical system that helps us transform these learnings into clear, accessible, and impactful publications.
Over a 3–5 week engagement, we hope the volunteer can help us:
• Develop a framework for translating program learning into publishable content
• Recommend content formats and publishing approaches appropriate for our audiences
• Design a simple editorial workflow for content development, review, and publication
• Recommend a realistic publishing cadence for a volunteer-led organization
• Provide guidance on managing contributors and coordinating content development across teams
The primary deliverable will be a documented Insights and Publishing Framework that our team can use as a foundation for future knowledge-sharing and publication efforts.
Through our work, we learn valuable lessons about the experiences, challenges, and strengths of the communities we serve. However, without a clear system for organizing and sharing these insights, important knowledge can remain internal and have limited impact.
This project will help us create a sustainable way to transform program learning into publications, insights, and knowledge products that can inform public understanding, strengthen advocacy efforts, and amplify community voices.
By helping us build this foundation, the volunteer will contribute to a system that allows community experiences and program learnings to reach wider audiences, creating greater awareness and supporting more effective responses to the needs of migrant and refugee communities.
Our leadership team has already identified insights and publishing as a strategic priority, and we have internal support from our Executive Director and program leads. We have existing program materials, reports, learning documents, and communications examples that can be shared with the volunteer to provide context.
The volunteer will have access to key team members for discussion, feedback, and collaboration throughout the engagement. We are responsive, organized, and committed to implementing the recommendations that emerge from this project.
The resulting framework will be used to guide how we capture, synthesize, and publish learning across our programs, helping ensure that the volunteer's work has long-term value for the organization.
