Work with our team to export content from the current WordPress site and rebuild it in Squarespace. Set up navigation, pages, and site structure so non-technical staff can update content. Apply existing branding, test functionality, and provide documentation for handoff.
Blue Compass launched in January 2026 to do something that hadn't been done before: build a national network for Jewish professionals working in secular nonprofits and philanthropy who are navigating antisemitism at work. Our December 2025 survey of 150 Jewish nonprofit professionals found that 39% had witnessed antisemitism at their organization in the past year, 35% had considered leaving their jobs because of it, and only 12% said their organization offers any tools to address it. These are people who chose careers in social change, and they're being quietly pushed out.

The nonprofit sector depends on its people showing up whole. When any group of professionals feels unseen or unsafe at work, the sector loses talent, institutional knowledge, and the kind of diverse leadership it claims to want. Blue Compass exists to close that gap for Jewish professionals, and a website that works is the first step toward reaching the people who need it.

Right now, our WordPress site requires technical maintenance that our two-person staff doesn't have the capacity to handle. We can't update it quickly or confidently. Moving to Squarespace means our Communications Coordinator can make changes herself, without waiting on outside help, which matters when the people finding us are often in the middle of something hard and need current, accurate information.
We're ready to move on this quickly and have done the groundwork to make it a smooth engagement. Our brand assets are organized and accessible: logo files, a defined color palette, and font choices that are already in use across our materials. Our current WordPress site has a limited number of pages, so the content scope is manageable and well-defined.

The executive director is the project lead and decision-maker, so there's no approval chain to navigate. We can turn around feedback within 24-48 hours and will show up prepared for every check-in.

We also have a Communications and Member Engagement Coordinator who is joining the team soon and will maintain the site once it's live. She manages our digital presence day-to-day. Getting her trained and comfortable on the new platform is part of what we're hoping to get out of this project.
