Identify 1-2 Grants and Prepare Application

We are seeking a grant writer to help us secure grant support for adaptive sports, recreation, wellness, and community engagement programs serving disabled veterans through Sports for Disabled Vets Corp. We are also seeking funding opportunities that may support the future development and expansion of the Honor Games initiative, which is designed to increase adaptive sports participation and competitive opportunities for disabled veterans.

We would like a volunteer to help us identify one or two grant opportunities and prepare the application and package for the specified funder(s). The volunteer will draft application narratives, align organizational information with funder prompts, compile required attachments, and prepare the final submission.

This fundraising work will help Sports for Disabled Vets Corp expand adaptive sports and therapeutic activities, promoting healing, reducing isolation, and restoring confidence among disabled veterans. Volunteers will directly support veterans’ well-being by helping secure funding that sustains and grows these programs.

We will provide our IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter, organizational information, program descriptions, leadership biographies, board information, budget materials, and any additional supporting documentation needed during the application process.

Our team will be available to answer questions, review drafts, and provide final approvals so the volunteer can complete and submit the application.
