I would like to create a clearer program structure and data organization system for our nonprofit programs. We currently manage multiple services including provider support, health consultation, trainings, workshops, referrals, and family engagement, but many of the forms and workflows overlap and become mixed together.

We are looking for a skilled volunteer to help us design a more organized structure by identifying the different program areas, creating clearer workflows, and recommending how forms, tracking systems, and data collection processes should be separated within our CRM system. The goal is to create a system that is easier for staff to use, improves reporting, and supports long-term growth across programs.
This project will help strengthen the systems behind the work we do every day to support childcare providers and families in our community. SCPA serves diverse families through provider support, health consultation, trainings, referrals, and family engagement programs, but our rapid growth has made it difficult to keep our internal systems organized and efficient.

By improving how our programs and data systems are structured, this project will help staff spend less time managing scattered information and more time directly supporting providers and families. A stronger system will also improve our ability to track impact, coordinate services, and respond more effectively to community needs.

Ultimately, this work will help us build a more sustainable organization that can better support childcare providers, improve access to resources for families, and expand our long-term impact in underserved communities.
Our team has already identified this as a major organizational priority and has internal support from leadership and staff to improve our program structure and data systems. We have gathered examples of our current forms, workflows, spreadsheets, reporting requirements, and program materials that we can share with the volunteer to help provide context.

We have a strong understanding of the challenges we are facing and are prepared to actively collaborate throughout the project by providing feedback, answering questions, and testing recommendations. Our team is committed to implementing the final recommendations and using them to improve how we organize programs, track services, and manage reporting across the organization.

This project will directly support our long-term growth by helping create more sustainable systems that improve staff efficiency and strengthen our ability to serve childcare providers and families

Organization Mission

The Supportive Childcare Provider Alliance (SCPA), originally known as the Somali Childcare Provider Alliance, was founded in 2019. It builds on a strong history of advocacy and community engagement that spans over 15 years, initiated by a dedicated group of childcare providers who established the organization. Our primary objective is to facilitate access to resources for both childcare centers and family home providers, ensuring the delivery of quality educational and culturally sensitive services. We are dedicated to nurturing environments where children can excel academically, emotionally, and socially.
