A guided coaching project to establish a basic chart of accounts, bookkeeping workflows, internal controls, recordkeeping and compliance priorities, and a concise checklist of common mistakes to avoid. Details will be provided during the project's sessions.
Strong bookkeeping and controls will help Peace for Every Pet responsibly steward funds, maintain compliance, and sustain its model of offering fair‑market and low- or no-cost in-home end-of-life veterinary care in greater Kansas City. Volunteers will enable financial transparency that supports clients, partners, and service continuity.
Details will be provided during interviews. Our newly formed team will be available to meet, share records, and collaborate with the volunteer to test and adopt a basic chart of accounts, workflows, and internal controls. We welcome iterative, practical recommendations and follow-up documentation. At the heart of it, none of us are accountants, we just have a dream and the knowledge to provide the service (low-income in-home end-of-life pet services for underserved communities).

Organization Mission

Peace for Every Pet was founded to provide low- to no-cost in-home end-of-life veterinary care to qualifying families in the greater Kansas City Missouri area. Specifically, we will provide fair market value appointments to families at 200% of the federal poverty line or higher to help fund low and no cost appointments to lower income families and their pets. We will partner with local animal welfare organizations to become a part of the network of support for lower income families. We believe all families deserve access to high-quality end-of-life care for their pets, regardless of geographic or financial obstacles.
