We'd like to partner with a volunteer who can help us create a ready-to-use volunteer management system and written playbook that a future coordinator can run. Deliverables include documented intake and onboarding workflows, shift scheduling templates for market and garden roles, a communication workflow for remote volunteers, and a concise roles/responsibilities/tools playbook. NY-based volunteer preferred.

A clear volunteer system will strengthen reliable staffing for farmers markets, the greenhouse, youth programs, and composting work, improving program continuity and community engagement. Volunteers will help expand access to fresh food and hands-on education for residents in Harlem and the Bronx.

Our team will collaborate closely with the volunteer, participate in interviews and draft reviews, and adopt the final system for the 2026 season. Specific timelines, current practices, and any existing volunteer notes will be shared during planning so the volunteer can deliver a practical, handoff-ready product.
