We are looking for an experienced software architect or senior technical professional to help NeverEverAlone transition from the design phase into technical planning for our mobile application.

We have already completed our UI/UX designs, user flows, feature requirements, and product vision. We are seeking a volunteer to review our existing work and provide expert guidance on the best technical approach before development begins.

During this engagement, we would like support with:

Reviewing our existing Figma designs and product requirements.
Recommending the most appropriate application architecture and technology stack.
Advising on security, scalability, privacy, and data protection best practices.
Defining the overall technical approach for building the application.
Prioritizing MVP features and recommending a phased development strategy.
Creating a realistic technical roadmap for the MVP and future releases.
Reviewing and refining the user experience for connecting survivors with lawyers, counselors, and other support professionals.
Providing recommendations for a secure and scalable service model, including provider onboarding, appointment workflows, payment processing, and the documentation needed to support future implementation (such as contracts, tax forms, invoices, and payment records).

The outcome of this project will be a comprehensive technical blueprint that will guide future software development and position NeverEverAlone for a successful MVP launch.
At NeverEverAlone, we believe that technology can be a lifeline for someone experiencing domestic violence. Survivors often face isolation, fear, and limited access to trusted resources at the very moment they need help most. Our mission is to create a secure, accessible mobile application that empowers survivors with safety planning tools, secure documentation, trusted resources, and ongoing support—all in one place. This project is a critical step toward making that vision a reality. By helping us build the foundation of our mobile application, volunteers will enable us to transform months of planning, research, and design into a working product that can begin serving people in need. Their expertise will help us create a secure, scalable, and sustainable platform that can continue to grow over time. The impact extends far beyond software development. Every feature built, every technical decision made, and every milestone achieved brings us closer to providing survivors with a safe space where they can access support, preserve important information, and take steps toward a safer future. As NeverEverAlone grows, the work completed through this project will also strengthen our ability to secure grants, attract additional technical volunteers, and build long-term partnerships that expand our reach. We hope to create a platform that serves thousands of survivors in its early stages and, over time, supports millions of individuals and families around the world.By volunteering on this project, you'll be helping build more than an app—you'll be helping create hope, safety, and a path forward for people who need it most.
By developing this mobile application, we will be able to translate our vision into a functional tool that empowers survivors with discreet access to resources, safety planning, and support systems. The app is designed to prioritize privacy, ease of use, and real-time assistance, which are critical for individuals in vulnerable situations.

Ultimately, this project bridges the gap between intention and impact—enabling us to move from awareness to action and provide a tangible, scalable solution that can support survivors in real time.
We are committed to making this project successful and have already completed much of the foundational work. Our team has invested significant time in researching survivor needs, defining the product vision, and completing detailed UI/UX designs, user journeys, feature requirements, and supporting documentation.

We have secured organizational support for this project and have a dedicated founder who will serve as the primary point of contact throughout the engagement. We will be available for regular meetings, provide timely feedback, answer questions promptly, and ensure volunteers have access to all project materials needed to move forward efficiently.

The recommendations and work completed during this project will be implemented immediately. Our goal is to use the volunteer's expertise to establish a strong technical foundation, begin development of the MVP, and create a roadmap that will allow future volunteer developers and technical partners to continue building the application. This project is a critical step toward launching NeverEverAlone and providing survivors of domestic violence with a secure, accessible platform for safety planning, trusted resources, and ongoing support.
