We’re seeking a volunteer with experience in recruiting, HR management, or talent strategy to help us design a focused, skills-based recruitment strategy for a specific role or type of role in Board Identification, Qualifications, and Recruitment.

Currently, our Organizational leadership chart is as follows: Board of Trustees, Board of Directors, Executive & Management Team, Committees, Volunteers, Interns.

Our goal is to strengthen how we attract candidates by highlighting the skills needed for success and reaching people who may not come from traditional backgrounds.

The volunteer will work with our team to:
- Understand the role and our current recruitment approach.
- Identify the most important skills and qualifications needed for success in the role.
- Recommend 3-5 candidate sources or outreach channels that align with those skills.
- Develop four clear, actionable outreach tactics to engage those candidates.
- Outline simple ways to track responses and refine our approach over time.

Final deliverable: A practical recruitment strategy for one role or role type, including target candidate profiles, recommended outreach channels, and a set of outreach tactics our team can put into action immediately.

We kindly hope to have a time commitment for this project minimum 30 days, hours are flexible to your schedule to fully understand each section of our organizational chart for future success in our recruitment strategy.
Through this project you would be supporting our efforts in building a strong board for us to scale our mission and vison in the cleft-craniofacial space. Your support would be a lasting legacy footprint in providing the guidance and recommendations on how we can approach recruiting passionate, yet effective working board. To show our appreciation for your time and commitment, we are happy to celebrate your contributions that you would make by: (1) Providing an Official Certificate of Appreciation, (2) Official Letter of Acknowledgement and/or Recommendation, (3) Opportunities for leadership roles, (4) Opportunities for long-term collaborative partnership, (5) Social Media Recognition Carousel Post spotlighting your support for the organization, and (6) Participation & Recognition at the organization's annual award gala (if time commitment is more than 60 days of positive project progress and successful project outcomes)
To support this work, we will:

- Assign a dedicated point of contact for the volunteer.
- Share background on our organization, programs, the community that we serve, and hiring needs. If available, we will also share demographic information on our current staff and board members.
- Provide access to any current recruitment materials or outreach efforts.
- Be available for regular check-ins and timely feedback.
- Ensure team members involved in hiring are available for input, and that decision-makers are aligned and supportive of the project's goals.
- We’re committed to being responsive and engaged, so you can focus on delivering a clear, actionable plan we’re ready to put into practice.
