Our goal is to create a mission-aligned earned income strategy that will help our nonprofit organization build long-term financial sustainability while expanding support for students and families.

Celebrating One is a nonprofit organization focused on graduation equity, student celebration initiatives, and emotional support programs for youth and families. As our programs continue to grow, we are seeking guidance in identifying sustainable earned revenue opportunities that align with our mission and community impact goals.

We are looking for a skilled volunteer to help us:
-Evaluate potential earned income opportunities
-Assess feasibility and sustainability of revenue ideas
-Identify mission-aligned service offerings
-Explore pricing and operational considerations
-Recommend realistic pilot opportunities
-Help prioritize short-term vs. long-term revenue strategies
-Develop a basic earned income roadmap or implementation framework

Potential areas we are interested in exploring include:
-Student and senior portrait services
-Event venue
-School and community workshops
-Graduation-related services and events
-Sponsorship-based program models
-Mission-aligned merchandise or community campaigns

We are seeking strategic guidance and planning support rather than a fully developed business plan. The ideal volunteer would help us better understand which opportunities are most realistic, sustainable, and impactful for our organization’s current stage of growth.
Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will support our mission by helping us build stronger long-term sustainability for programs that support students and families during important educational milestones.

Celebrating One exists to help ensure that students feel seen, valued, and celebrated regardless of financial hardship or life circumstances. Through initiatives such as No Grad Left Behind, Cap the Gap, and student support programs, we work to remove barriers that may prevent students from fully participating in milestone celebrations and graduation experiences.

Developing earned income strategies will help strengthen our ability to:
-Sustain programs year-round
-Reduce reliance on unpredictable funding sources
-Expand support to additional schools and students
-Create more stable long-term organizational growth
-Increase community visibility and partnership opportunities

The volunteer’s support will help us better understand how to responsibly grow mission-aligned revenue opportunities while staying focused on community impact and equitable student support.
We prepared for this project by identifying several mission-aligned revenue ideas and discussing long-term sustainability goals for our organization.

We have already:
-Established core programs serving students and families
-Built relationships with schools and community partners
-Identified areas where community demand may support earned revenue opportunities
-Gathered information about our current programs, outreach efforts, and organizational goals
-Begun internal discussions regarding operational capacity and future growth

We are committed to being a responsive and collaborative pro bono partner throughout the project. Our organization will:
-Designate a primary project contact
-Provide timely communication and feedback
-Share relevant program and organizational materials
-Participate in scheduled meetings consistently
-Respect agreed-upon timelines and project scope

The recommendations and deliverables from this project will help guide future planning decisions and may directly inform pilot programs, fundraising strategies, and long-term organizational sustainability planning.
