We are seeking a volunteer with expertise in medical billing and healthcare administration to help us troubleshoot our Availity application process. Currently, we face delays/denials that prevent us from billing insurance for our psychotherapy services.

The volunteer will:
- Review our current Availity application and enrollment steps.
- Analyze correspondence from insurance providers to identify specific causes of approval delays or denials.
- Produce a clear, prioritized action plan and a step-by-step checklist for our team to follow to resolve these issues and re-submit for billing.
Getting Availity approval will enable us to bill insurance, helping us provide more accessible, affordable, and trauma-informed psychotherapy to New Yorkers. This will support client access, strengthen our financial sustainability, and help grow training opportunities for interns and therapists in training.
We will share our Availity account details, application materials, and any correspondence during volunteer interviews and be available to answer questions. Volunteers will deliver a prioritized set of next steps and documentation requests that our team can implement to move the approval forward.
