MPower Girls Camp sends underserved 4th and 5th grade girls in Dallas to STEM summer camps, creating life-changing opportunities at a pivotal age. To scale our impact, we need a Fundraising Strategist to help us build a professional growth engine to reach Dallas-based corporate, foundation, and civic donors.

We are looking for a volunteer to help us build a comprehensive Outreach & Partnership Strategy (Phase 1):
• Prospect Research: Develop a prioritized spreadsheet of 50–75 Dallas-based targets (companies, banks, foundations, churches) with giving capacity and alignment notes.
• Funder Criteria: Define clear checklists for what makes a funder a 'right fit' vs. 'disqualified' for our mission.
• Messaging Toolkit: Draft tailored outreach templates, including email openers, phone scripts, and a one-page ‘leave-behind’ for different donor types.
• Sponsorship Menu: Create a tiered recognition and giving structure tailored to the Dallas corporate market.
• Outreach Coaching: Provide a roadmap or training session for our leadership/Board on how to effectively execute this outreach and leverage local networks.
We send girls to STEM summer camp at exactly the moment in their lives when they start deciding what’s possible for them. Fourth and fifth grade. That’s the window. A week at camp can change the whole trajectory. But these families can’t pay for it — and the number of girls we can send is directly tied to how well I can raise money and build partnerships.

So when I say this project supports our mission — I mean it literally. This project determines how many girls go to camp next summer.

Why Dallas, and why this volunteer specifically?
Dallas is one of the most philanthropically generous cities in the country. The corporate community here gives. The foundations here give. The faith community here gives. But giving in Dallas runs on relationships and on trust. You don’t get a meeting by sending a cold email. You get a meeting because somebody picks up the phone and says, “Hey, you need to meet these people.”

That’s what I need. I need someone who has credibility in this market, and who believes enough in what we’re doing to write the plan.

The donors are out there but they don't know MPGC exists yet and this is part of the plan to bring them our mission.
By the end of this project, we will have the strategy and collateral needed to 'get in the room' with Dallas’s philanthropic leaders. We are prepared with organizational data, mission impact stories, and leadership availability to ensure this strategy is grounded in reality.

What I’m bringing to the table
• I am committed to this project and available to participate.
• I will own scheduling, materials, and follow-through between sessions.
• I have a spreadsheet and list of current and potential donor history and warm leads — the volunteer won’t be starting from zero.
