Website Redesign
ICERT (a 501(c)(3) with a Candid Platinum Seal) bridges the gap between Global South scholars and SDG policy. We need a professional digital home that reflects our status as a global authority.
Scope of Work:
UX/UI Audit: Analyze our current flow to ensure it meets the standards of academic and funding institutions.
Responsive Redesign: Implement a modern, high-trust interface that highlights our programs and global reach.
Scholarly SEO Implementation: Optimize our publications pages specifically for academic indexing. This includes resetting metadata (Schema.org/ScholarlyArticle) to ensure our researchers' work achieves high visibility and citation counts on Google Scholar and institutional repositories.
Requirements: Experience in front-end development (React, Vue, or modern CMS) and a deep understanding of Technical SEO for data-heavy sites.
Platform Used: Hostinger for website hosting, and website is built on WordPress.
Commitment: 3–5 hours/week for a 6-week sprint.
By optimizing our publication pages for scholarly SEO, we ensure that the research produced by our fellows—who often come from under-resourced regions—is discoverable by global policymakers and the international scientific community. This project will directly increase the credibility of our fellowship programs, attract more prestigious funding partners, and ultimately ensure that marginalized voices are cited and heard in global discourse on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Key Objectives:
UX/UI Overhaul: Modernize the interface to align with top-tier research institutions.
Responsive Performance: Ensure a seamless experience for scholars in the Global South using mobile devices or low-bandwidth connections.
Visibility & Citation: Reset our scholarly publication infrastructure with technical SEO (JSON-LD and Google Scholar tags) to maximize citation counts and global reach for our fellows’ research.
My team and I have prepared for this project by auditing our current publication data, securing institutional buy-in for a brand refresh, and establishing a clear 6-week timeline. We have all necessary assets (logos, brand colors, and publication metadata) ready to hand over to the volunteer immediately.
