Why We Give is seeking a certified tax professional to assist us in preparing and filing our California state filings, specifically the 199 form, to ensure compliance and help us establish best practices for future filings. We have already filed our 990-N with federal.

Why We Give is a Los Angeles–based nonprofit focused on advancing hygiene equity by providing hygiene kits and preventive self-care education to underserved youth, families, and individuals experiencing homelessness and disaster-related displacement. As our programs continue to grow, we are working to strengthen our financial and compliance infrastructure to support sustainable operations.

We have gathered financial records, bookkeeping reports, and prior filings housed online in Quickbooks to help streamline the volunteer's work and ensure an efficient engagement.
