About the Opportunity

A board recruitment plan and a new board onboarding packet. The recruitment plan should define candidate criteria, outreach strategies, a timeline, and role descriptions. The onboarding packet should include an orientation agenda, key governance items, and a newcomer checklist.

A strong recruitment plan and onboarding packet will increase board capacity and governance quality, helping the foundation better secure leadership, resources, and support needed to provide merit-based scholarships to students pursuing education at HBCUs. Volunteers will directly shape systems that expand student opportunities.

Details about existing materials, timelines, and staff availability will be provided during interviews. Our team will collaborate with the volunteer through regular check-ins, review draft materials together, and prepare to implement the final plan and onboarding packet.
