We are seeking a skilled volunteer to review and strengthen a grant proposal we are preparing for a major national health equity foundation. We are looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following areas:

— Reviewing and editing grant narratives for major foundations, particularly health equity or social justice funders
— Community-based participatory research design
— Health equity research methodology
— Academic-community research partnership structures

The volunteer would review our draft narrative, provide feedback on alignment with funder priorities, and help strengthen the research framing. The proposal has a firm deadline in mid-May 2026.
The Center for Transformative Grief Justice serves 1,500+ Black and Brown community members annually in Queens, New York through healing justice programs, youth leadership development, and community advocacy.

A successful grant proposal would provide significant multi-year funding that directly expands our capacity
to serve communities affected by systemic harm.

The volunteer's contribution will help ensure that our community's story is told in the most compelling and credible way possible to a funder whose mission aligns closely with the people we serve.
We have already developed a strong organizational narrative and have gathered all supporting materials the volunteer will need. Our executive director will be the primary point of contact and is available for weekly check-ins. We can respond to document comments and emails within 24 hours throughout the project.
All materials will be shared via Google Drive within 24 hours of matching. We are ready to start immediately.
