We are looking for an HR or Volunteer Management professional to help us strengthen our operational foundations to better serve neurodivergent children and their families.

Specifically, the volunteer will:
1. Review our current HR and volunteer policies and provide practical recommendations for improvement.
2. Develop a standardized onboarding process/checklist for new volunteers.
3. Conduct a high-level audit of our existing volunteer files to identify gaps in documentation (e.g., missing waivers or expired checks).
4. Create a simple tracking template or process to ensure background checks are flagged for renewal every two years.
Strengthening HR policies, onboarding, and biennial background-check tracking will enhance safety and trust for neurodivergent children and their families, help sustain inclusive programming and events, and ensure volunteers are supported and compliant. Volunteer contributions will directly improve participant experiences.
To ensure your success, we will provide access to our current policy handbook, volunteer rosters, and existing record-keeping systems. We are prepared to meet weekly to discuss findings and refine these tools for our team's use.

Organization Mission

At Next Generation Playground, our mission is to create an inclusive, sensory-friendly environment where neurodivergent children and their families can explore, connect, and flourish. While we work toward building our physical playground, we are already living out this mission through our current programming and community events. Each class, pop-up, and gathering is designed to offer a safe, supportive space that celebrates diversity, encourages creativity, and nurtures every child’s unique strengths.
