Develop an Outreach Strategy for Youth Music Fundraising Challenge

Enabling Leadership is seeking a Business Development or Sales volunteer to help us build a clear and effective outreach strategy for our Groove for Good Challenge in the Bay Area. This initiative empowers underserved youth in Kenya through music and leadership, and we are looking to recruit local teen pop, rock, and jazz bands to participate in this fundraising event.

The volunteer will support us in developing a targeted and repeatable approach to identifying and engaging potential participants.

Scope of Work:

Conduct research to identify and prioritize youth music programs, schools, and studios in the Bay Area
Develop a targeted outreach strategy to engage music teachers, program directors, and administrators
Draft outreach messaging and pitch templates using provided organizational materials
Create a simple outreach tracking system (CRM or spreadsheet) to manage contacts and follow-ups
Provide guidance on how our team can approach outreach and schedule introductory conversations

Deliverables:

A prioritized lead list of relevant music programs and contacts
Outreach templates (email copy and key talking points)
A simple outreach tracking tool
A clear, step-by-step outreach plan our team can implement

This Project focuses on building a strong outreach foundation and toolkit.

This outreach will help recruit teen bands and raise funds and visibility for the organization's program in Kenay directly supporting leadership and life-skill development for underserved youth.

Volunteers will enable more performance and fundraising opportunities that advance the mission and reach more children.

Volunteers will:
- Collaborate with Enabling Leadership staff to prioritize tasks
- be provided with event communication material - presentation decks, flyers etc.
- Be trained about the event
- The organization will use volunteer-generated contacts to confirm participating bands.
