We'd like to connect with a skilled volunteer who can help us build a practical framework and implementation plan for professional development. This project will mainly tackle the first 2 stages of the work needed, and help give shape to stage 3:

stage 1. identify learning opportunities, such as: trainings, mentorship, skills-development tracks, and committee work that help serve our mission and organizational priorities
stage 2. maps learnings/skills to performance assessment areas
stage 3 (eventually). identifying skills /performance proficiency that could then lead to advancement

2-3 month engagement, timeline to be determined in collaboration with the volunteer.
This project will strengthen FUTURES' capacity to develop and retain skilled staff, improving overall work quality and build a culture of learning. A cohesive professional development program linked to advancement will help Futures Without Violence expand efforts to build healthier and safer communities.
Preparation done so far: internal staff survey results; leadership commitment to our employees' professional development; list of learning resources. Additional details will be provided during volunteer interviews. We will collaborate with the volunteer to share organizational context, define priorities/timeline, and agree on milestones so the proposed framework can be implemented and sustained.
