Develop a National PR Strategy for Youth Soccer Partnership Announcement
We are seeking a skilled volunteer to help us develop and coach us to execute a strategic PR plan to announce and amplify this partnership.
Specifically, we’re looking for support with:
Press Release Development
Draft a compelling, professional press release that clearly communicates the significance of the WCA + AYSO partnership, highlights the mission-driven impact, and positions both organizations as leaders in advancing women in coaching and leadership.
PR & Distribution Strategy
Advise on how best to share the announcement, including:
Target media outlets (sports, youth development, women in leadership, nonprofit sectors)
Timing and rollout strategy
Whether to pursue earned media, partnerships, or direct outreach
Social Media & Content Strategy
Recommend how to extend the announcement across our channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, email newsletter, etc.), including messaging, sequencing, and content ideas.
Optional: Media Outreach Materials
If time allows, help draft a short media pitch or talking points we can use for outreach.
Our goal is to not only announce this partnership, but to maximize visibility, credibility, and momentum as we begin to expand nationally. We’d love a partner who can bring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution to help us tell this story effectively.
Our new national partnership with AYSO is a major milestone—it expands our reach from working with 8 regional programs to a potential network of 850 local Regions across the country. This creates a powerful opportunity to scale our impact and bring more women into leadership roles in communities nationwide.
A strong PR strategy and announcement will be critical in building credibility, attracting new partners, and accelerating this expansion. By helping us tell this story effectively, the volunteer will play a key role in unlocking growth and visibility at a national level.
Ultimately, this work will help increase the number of women coaches, provide more young athletes with diverse role models, and strengthen communities through more inclusive leadership in youth sports.
This partnership is a top priority with full leadership buy-in, and our Founder will lead the project to ensure quick decisions and clear communication. We’ve gathered key materials—including partnership details, organizational background, and messaging—and can provide access to leadership for quotes.
We understand the limited time commitment and will be responsive, prepared, and easy to work with. We’re also eager to learn and open to guidance.
Once completed, we are ready to implement immediately—sharing the press release across our channels and leveraging AYSO’s national platform to amplify the announcement.
