My goal for this Taproot Project is to create a clear, visually compelling one‑page infographic for Hello Puyallup that communicates our theory of change—how neighbor‑to‑neighbor connection, storytelling, and shared experiences strengthen community trust, belonging, and civic health—and includes a simple, welcoming community donation ask. This one‑pager will serve as a professional leave‑behind after community presentations, helping residents, partners, and local leaders quickly understand our work, its impact, and how they can support it.
Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will support our mission by helping translate Unity Spark Project’s theory of change into a clear, accessible visual tool that strengthens connection, belonging, and civic trust in our community.

Unity Spark Project’s mission is to strengthen the social fabric that makes communities healthier and more resilient by helping neighbors see one another’s humanity, listen across differences, and build the trust needed for constructive civic life. Hello Puyallup is a flagship initiative advancing this mission by inviting neighbors into relationship‑building through storytelling, shared experiences, and inclusive community participation.

This project directly advances our goals by equipping us with a professional, one‑page infographic that clearly communicates how connection leads to healthier communities—and why community members’ support matters. The volunteer’s work will help community members quickly understand the pathway from simple neighbor‑to‑neighbor interactions to deeper trust, belonging, and shared civic responsibility, and will include a welcoming donation ask that invites people to invest in this work locally.

The impact of this project is immediate and tangible. The completed infographic will be used as a leave‑behind after presentations with residents, educators, nonprofit partners, faith leaders, and local institutions, helping turn inspiration into action. By making our theory of change visible and accessible, the volunteer will help more people see themselves as part of the solution—and help Unity Spark Project sustain and expand community‑building efforts that uplift voices, strengthen relationships, and improve collective wellbeing across Puyallup.
I have set this project up for success by doing substantial preparation in advance and ensuring strong internal alignment.

Hello Puyallup is an active, well‑developed initiative led by Unity Spark Project, with a clearly articulated theory of change, defined messaging, and existing presentation materials already in use across the community, including slide decks and written summaries shared with community leaders, educators, and partners.

I have strong internal buy‑in for this work. As Founder and President, I am the primary decision‑maker and will serve as the volunteer’s single point of contact, ensuring timely feedback and clear direction. I am also supported by trusted advisors and collaborators who have reviewed and affirmed the Hello Puyallup concept and materials, including community leaders and institutional partners.

To prepare for the volunteer’s work, I have already:

Clarified the purpose and audience for the one‑pager (a professional leave‑behind after community presentations)
Assembled core content, including our theory of change, program phases, and key messages

Identified how and where the final infographic will be used and distributed across community settings

The outcome of this Taproot project will be immediately implemented. The finished infographic will become a standard leave‑behind document following presentations to residents, community partners, schools, and local leaders, supporting consistent storytelling and a clear community donation ask. This ensures the volunteer’s work has immediate, visible impact and ongoing use rather than sitting unused.
I deeply value pro bono partnerships and am committed to being a responsive, organized, and appreciative partner. I am prepared to respect the volunteer’s time, come to meetings prepared, and move efficiently from concept to completion so their expertise is well‑used and meaningful.
