Our nonprofit is searching for a grant writer or talented copywriter to assist our team in reviewing a grant proposal and making updates.

To implement this grant writing project, we'll need two meetings with a volunteer. In our first meeting, we will provide you with a copy and review the application draft with you. We'll align on expectations and agree on the project timeline. Next, you'll review our document using the track changes function checking for inconsistencies and continuity errors, and creates a list of recommended changes to share with us. The project will conclude after up to two rounds of edits which the volunteer will make the agreed-upon changes to the document.
The JJ Center’s mission is to eliminate health disparities in Ward 8 by treating nutrition as a clinical intervention. Led by a PhD in Pharmacy (alumna of NIH and Johns Hopkins), this project moves beyond traditional food charity. We are building a permanent clinical and logistics infrastructure—including a 4-vehicle fleet and a health app—to provide healthy meals that are scientifically synchronized with residents' medication and clinical data to prevent hospitalizations.

Join a high-tech clinical nutrition movement! The JJ Center is launching a large-scale initiative to provide life-saving, medically tailored nutrition to 250+ Ward 8 neighbors. Under the guidance of our PharmD and MD leadership, we are bridging the gap between the pharmacy and the kitchen.

The Impact: As a volunteer, you are the heartbeat of our "Cold-Chain" logistics. Whether confirming wellness checks or assisting in our sterile packing facility, you ensure seniors in food deserts receive the exact nutrition their bodies need. Work alongside PhDs and MDs in a professional environment where data and empathy meet. Your professional skills won't just support a program—they will support a clinical cure.
We have a dedicated team member for the project who will provide you with the document that needs to be reviewed in an easily shareable format. (Google Docs, etc.) We'll also send you the proposal and application guidelines.

Organization Mission

At Jehovah Jireh Community Development Center (The JJ Center), we strive to uplift the community by helping to provide homeless and low-income children and families with basic needs. Our work in the community is designed to bring the community essential resources they might not otherwise have. Through community building, mentorship relationships and education programs, Jehovah Jireh Community Development Center serves as a key support center for families in the Southeast and Southwest Washington, DC and in Prince George's County, Maryland. Our organization centers around the meaning of Jehovah Jireh (in Hebrew it is 'Yahweb-Yireh'). Derived from Genesis 22:14, it means "the Lord will provide." As God provides to us, we provide to others.
