About the Opportunity

Identify and prioritize grant opportunities that are a good fit for our hands-on conservation education. Deliver a prioritized list with funder name, eligibility notes, a brief fit rationale, publicly available typical award size (if any), application deadlines, and recommended next steps.

This project will help TTC secure funding to bring more hands-on science visits with live animal ambassadors to Bay Area classrooms and outdoor spaces, sparking student curiosity about STEM and encouraging compassionate respect for often-feared species that support healthy ecosystems.

We will be available for regular check-ins and to review and prioritize findings with the volunteer. Volunteers can expect collaborative guidance on our program priorities and follow-up support to help implement next steps.

Organization Mission

Things That Creep (TTC) brings hands-on science programs to classrooms and outdoor spaces throughout the Bay Area. By introducing students to live “animal ambassadors,” including lizards, snakes, and frogs, TTC provides students with a memorable introduction to the biological sciences, sparks curiosity about STEM fields and encourages compassionate respect for animals that are often ignored or feared, but are vital to balanced, healthy ecosystems.
