My goal for this Taproot Project is to create a sustainable SEO roadmap that helps families and clinicians find our trauma-informed resources more easily. We need a volunteer to:
1. Conduct a Technical SEO Audit of www.JuniesPlace.org to ensure it is user-friendly and accessible.
2. Develop a Keyword Strategy focused on specific search intents like "SUDC support," "infant loss resources," and "grief literacy."
3. Create a Content Roadmap that helps us leverage our existing work on the "problem with platitudes" to reach a national audience.
4. Ad Grant Optimization: We currently have the $10,000/month Google Ad Grant and need help aligning our ad keywords with our organic SEO goals to maximize this incredible resource.
5. (Optional) Provide high-level guidance on optimizing our Google Ad Grant to drive targeted traffic to our clinical services and workshops.
Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will support our mission by ensuring that no family has to navigate the sudden loss of a child without expert-backed, compassionate support. Currently, many families don’t have access to competent “grief-informed” care; by improving our SEO, the volunteer helps us intercept those in distress with grief-informed care and education. This project will directly increase our ability to provide no-cost clinical services in Massachusetts and share our educational workshops with a broader, national audience of professionals and families. This project is deeply personal. We are turning a mother's grief into a professional resource for others. By helping us with SEO, you are ensuring that when another parent is sitting in the dark searching for answers after the loss of a child, they find a community that truly understands their pain.
My team and I have prepared for this project by consolidating our core mission materials, clinical workshop descriptions, and our growing library of blog content. I will be the direct point of contact and can provide full access to our Google Search Console and website backend. We have already identified our primary audience (grieving families and healthcare providers) and have a clear "voice" established through our @vilomomma social media presence; we now just need the technical expertise to connect that voice with those searching for it. I can provide the volunteer with full access to our Google Ads account and historical data so they can hit the ground running.

Organization Mission

Junie's Place is a compassionate nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive, no-cost grief support services to families enduring the profound loss of a child, infant, pregnancy, or experiencing a stillbirth. Our mission is to create a nurturing and supportive environment in which grieving families can find solace, support, and the embrace of a community that intimately understands their sorrow. We strive to offer a safe place for families navigating the overwhelming depths of grief, providing no-cost counseling, support, educational resources, and programs tailored to their unique needs. Our commitment is to walk alongside these families through every agonizing step of their journey, offering unwavering empathy, guidance, and hope as they learn to honor their child's memory while gradually rebuilding their lives. Beyond direct support, we are committed to advancing grief-informed healthcare, education, and advocacy. We train professionals and organizations to better recognize and respond to the needs of grieving families, promote grief-informed policies such as bereavement leave, and work to shift cultural attitudes around loss. At Junie's Place, we believe that no family should grieve alone. Through care, education, and advocacy, Junie’s Place honors the memory of every child gone too soon and helps transform personal and collective grief into lasting legacies of love. Junie’s Place was founded following the sudden loss of my daughter, Junie. As a clinical psychologist, I realized that even with my professional background, the resources available were often without access to true, trauma-informed grief support. We exist to bridge that gap.
