Everyday Conversations on Race

A comprehensive, implementation-ready roadmap for my podcast, Everyday Conversations on Race — a 5-year-old show with 160+ episodes focused on real conversations across race. The deliverable is not just a strategy document. It's an actionable system with clear, specific steps that tell me, a future VA, and a university intern exactly what to do, when to do it, and in what sequence — so nothing falls through the cracks and every action moves toward the same goals.
The roadmap should cover four areas:

Organization: episode workflow, file management, publishing consistency (current goal: 4 episodes/month)
Audience growth: platform presence, content repurposing, outreach
Monetization: sponsorships, memberships, speaking tie-ins, other revenue streams
Implementation: a step-by-step task breakdown showing who does what — me, a VA, or an intern
Everyday Conversations on Race has been creating space for honest, cross-racial dialogue for five years. More reach means more people having conversations they'd otherwise avoid. A strong operational foundation means the show keeps going — consistently — regardless of what else is happening in the political environment. This volunteer will directly help ensure that work continues, grows, and sustains itself.
I have 160+ existing episodes and five years of content experience. I know my audience, my voice, and my goals. I can provide full access to what currently exists — current workflow, platforms, and past content — so the volunteer isn't starting from scratch.
I'm available for weekly check-ins, responsive to feedback requests, and committed to seeing this through. I've worked with Taproot volunteers before and understand how to be a good partner. In addition, I have an advisory team that we can meet with, and I will be hiring a new VA once we determine what skills are necessary.

Experience with podcasting or digital media is a plus. Before applying, please visit SimmaLieberman.com and listen to at least one episode of the show. Familiarity with the content and tone is essential to doing this work well.

Organization Mission

Our mission is to disrupt the way race is talked about, break racial silos, and eliminate fear of differences. We want to "bring race to the people," by having cross-race conversations where people share personal stories and solutions, and find surprising connections. We show that conversations about race are possible, urgent, and essential for our survival.
