We'd like to partner with a pro bono consultant who can help us create a prioritized, searchable database of potential funding opportunities and provide recommendations for building a sustainable funding strategy. The volunteer will research and compile potential project grants, private foundations, government funding opportunities, corporate partners, and other relevant funding sources into a searchable database. They will also develop a concise funding strategy that prioritizes the most promising opportunities, outlines recommended next steps, and identifies short- and long-term funding pathways that align with our organization's goals.

Expected deliverables include:

-A searchable database of prioritized funding opportunities, including key eligibility requirements, deadlines, and links where available.
-A concise funding strategy summarizing priority funding sources and recommended next steps.
-Recommendations for pursuing and managing future funding opportunities.
This work will help Single SuperMom secure the resources to launch and scale online and offline training, build sustainable networks, and expand an international advocacy platform. Volunteers will directly enable services that reduce poverty and isolation and strengthen resilience and opportunity for single-mothers.
We are in the process of establishing a non-profit organization registered in New York, with a mission to empower, support, activate, and assist single mothers across the United States. Our vision is to create a national organization that offers both online and offline training systems. We plan to launch our operations in New York, New Jersey, and Oakland initially, followed by a nationwide rollout.
From the initial setup to the national expansion, we require professional advice, support, and expertise regarding how to structure our funding. This includes identifying opportunities for project grants, financial applications, and other funding sources.
Currently, we are supported by an assistant professor, staff, and students from Columbia University and UC Berkeley, who are assisting us in refining our project plan, approach, rollout strategy, and research components.
We are seeking to collaborate with a Taproot professional who has experience in non-profit funding possibilities. Our goal is to establish a comprehensive database of potential funding opportunities to support the setup and nationwide rollout of our U.S. non-profit, Single SuperMom.

Organization Mission

1ouderpunt is an inclusive non-profit foundation dedicated to supporting single parents and children from single-parent families worldwide who live in poverty, social isolation, and loneliness. We connect, unite, and empower these families by building sustainable networks. Our approach fosters connection and engagement among vulnerable single parents and their children, who often face poverty, isolation, and loneliness. Through our activities, we aim to combat poverty and contribute to making these families more resilient, expanding their networks, and enhancing their collective and individual self-reliance and emancipation. By promoting equal opportunities and resilience, we advance the social integration of these vulnerable groups. In the coming period, we are establishing an international advocacy platform and forming partnerships with organizations around the world to collectively advocate for single-parent families. Let's collaborate and create a meaningful impact!
