We are looking for a financial management volunteer to assist our organization in creating the basics - then training our staff on how to maintain them.

During this project, a volunteer will create a written set of financial policies and procedures, an internal controls framework, budgeting templates, and practical training materials and session plans. The volunteer will also provide training to staff about coding income/expenditures, allocating funds by project/department/donor, managing financial data, and preparing program budgets and organizational budgets.

Clear financial policies and controls will strengthen donor and regulatory accountability, safeguard assets, and ensure funds are used effectively for rescue, medical care, spay/neuter, feeding street dogs, adoptions, and education. Volunteers will help BAWA better steward resources and expand its animal welfare programs.

Details about current accounting systems, records, and staff availability will be provided. Volunteers will collaborate with BAWA staff to review existing practices, produce draft policies, establish controls, and deliver short training sessions and handover materials.
