Redesign Making Space's website to better communicate our value proposition across three distinct audiences: disabled jobseekers exploring training and career pathways, employers seeking to build inclusive hiring pipelines, and funders evaluating our impact. The project includes auditing the current site's information architecture, user flows, and messaging clarity; producing wireframes or a clickable prototype for key pages (homepage, talent-facing landing page, employer-facing landing page, and program pages); and delivering prioritized design and accessibility recommendations. The volunteer should also provide guidance on integrating our existing AI-informed features like our benefits navigation tool, potentially moving this from behind our login portal to on our webpage. We'll share brand assets, analytics data, and stakeholder personas during onboarding.
Making Space connects disabled talent to meaningful employment through AI-powered career tools, workforce training (with an 85% completion rate), and employer partnerships with companies like Microsoft, Salesforce, and Walmart. Our programs have generated a 123:1 social return on investment and a 75% post-program employment rate. But our website doesn't yet reflect the scale or sophistication of what we offer. A stronger digital presence will increase program enrollment from our 50,000+ member community, convert more employer prospects into partners, and help us articulate our impact to funders. Volunteers will directly help close the disability employment gap by making it easier for every stakeholder to find and act on what Making Space offers.
We've already identified the core problem: our current site doesn't clearly differentiate the experience for jobseekers, employers, and funders, which creates confusion and drop-off. Our Head of Product and Operations will serve as the primary point of contact and can share existing user research, site analytics, and our product roadmap. Our engineering team can speak to technical constraints and implementation feasibility. We're committed to weekly check-ins, fast feedback turnarounds (within 48 hours), and have internal capacity to implement recommendations after the engagement ends.
