Develop an Event Outreach and Ambassador Engagement Toolkit

We're seeking a Marketing or Events Strategist to help us maximize our impact at local community events. Our goal is to increase awareness and fundraising for innovative cancer research by securing high-impact event presences.

We need a volunteer to help us develop an Event Outreach & Engagement Toolkit. This project will include:

-Reviewing our current list of potential local events and creating a 'selection rubric' to prioritize those most aligned with our mission and audience.
-Developing a professional outreach strategy, including email templates and a 'pitch script' to help SAA-Seattle successfully secure booth space or partnerships with venue leaders.
-Creating a brief 'Event Ambassador Guide'—a set of best practices and talking points that our on-site volunteers can use to engage the public and drive registrations/donations effectively.

Swim Across America - Seattle funds innovative cancer researchers. These researchers do not get their initial funding from the NCI but needs to this initial funding to take risks and ask hard questions. By getting awareness at these event Swim Across America - Seattle can get more participants and raise money to fund additional cancer research projects.

Swim Across America has a ready supply of branded marketing materials and SWAG. Your professional expertise in strategy and communications will ensure we are targeting the right venues and are equipped to make a lasting impression. This work will directly support our ability to fund researchers who are asking the 'hard questions' in the fight against cancer."
