We are seeking a volunteer to conduct an independent financial review of MFCF's 2025 finances and produce a concise written review report meeting the organization's bylaw requirement. We use Quickbooks and have coded transactions for 2024-2026. Our timeline is as follows:

March 2026: Introductory Meeting with Taproot volunteer at our March 26th Finance Committee Meeting

April 2026: Field work

May 2026: Draft review submitted & Interviews conducted with board members

June 2026: Report Finalized

A timely, independent financial review will ensure compliance with bylaws, strengthen donor and stakeholder trust, and support the nonprofit's ability to continue providing economic support, social programs, and holistic wellness services to minority communities.

We will share the 2025 financial records and the bylaw language with the volunteer and will coordinate access and scheduling. Scope, format, and implementation plans will be defined collaboratively during the engagement. We work primarily virtually and our CEO & Treasurer are highly responsive. We use Quickbooks for accounting and have already prepared draft financial statements. We have conducted a review in the past which covered our 2021-2022 fiscal years.
