Transform existing strategic-plan material into a visually appealing digital booklet and an accompanying one-page summary that reflect the organization’s voice and visuals. The volunteer will create cohesive layouts and design direction; specifics about file types and sizes will be discussed.
Through working with our organization on this process, the volunteer will support our mission by transforming a visionary strategy into an accessible roadmap that empowers the DEE community. We exist to improve outcomes, accelerate research, and advocate for a better quality of life—but we can’t drive those collaborative efforts if our caregivers and clinicians don't know the way forward. This strategic plan is the bridge between our high-level goals and the families who need them most.
Our team has worked tirelessly to develop and refine the content over a span of 9 months in conjunction with our diverse stakeholders, including caregivers, clinicians, and partner organizations. We have recently finalized all of the desired structure/layout and content. We will share the strategic-plan content and be readily available to review drafts and give timely feedback. We will collaborate with the volunteer on branding choices, timelines, and final file needs so the designs can be implemented across our communications.

Organization Mission

We work to accelerate the pace of science on SCN8A in order to bring hope and improved outcomes for all those living with SCN8A and their families. Motivated by and with families at the center of all we do, we work collaboratively with researchers, clinicians, pharmaceutical companies, and beyond to improve treatments for and the quality of life of those living with SCN8A, other rare epilepsies, and their families.
