My goal for this Taproot Project is to create a documented, scalable housing management framework for Turntable. Working with a skilled volunteer for 2–5 hours per week, we aim to develop a standardized Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual and a simplified data-tracking system. These tools will map our housing workflow from intake to exit, ensuring consistent, trauma-informed service quality as we expand to new sites. Key deliverables include a centralized SOP manual, training materials to reduce staff onboarding time by 30%, and a framework for tracking resident outcomes.
Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will support our mission by directly increasing our capacity to provide safe, holistic housing for youth impacted by trauma. By moving from site-specific workflows to a replicable management model, we can scale our services efficiently without compromising the quality of care. This operational foundation will minimize errors, empower our staff with clear roles, and provide the data visibility we need to demonstrate our impact to funders, ultimately allowing us to serve more youth in San Francisco.
My team and I have prepared for this project by securing full internal buy-in from Turntable leadership and gathering our existing housing workflows and compliance requirements for review. We have identified a dedicated project lead to serve as the primary point of contact for the volunteer and have cleared time for weekly check-ins. Once the documentation is complete, we are ready to immediately pilot the new SOPs at one of our current sites to gather feedback and refine the system for full rollout.
