A focused PR and marketing package that helps tell Brent’s story and the Foundation’s initiatives: a concise messaging framework, media outreach plan with sample pitches, suggested channels/timeline, and a few shareable assets (press or social copy). Exact scope will be defined with volunteers.
Stronger PR and marketing will elevate national awareness of meaningful access, attract partners and sponsors for the coalition and pilot, amplify the documentary and world-record effort, and accelerate the Foundation’s work to remove barriers so people with mobility limitations can fully access outdoor and everyday life.
We have Brent’s story, supporting materials, and planned initiatives ready and leadership poised to move quickly. Details will be provided during volunteer interviews. We will collaborate closely, provide assets and timely feedback, and prioritize rapid execution to match the campaign pace.

Organization Mission

The BrentOliver541 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to restoring meaningful access, real, usable access, to the outdoors and everyday life for people facing mobility limitations. Our work focuses on removing practical barriers so individuals with physical challenges can participate fully in recreation, work, travel, and community life. This mission was founded by Brent Oliver, an incomplete quadriplegic who survived a catastrophic cervical spinal cord injury in 1991 that should not have been survivable. After rebuilding functional mobility through years of self-directed rehabilitation, Brent went on to build a demanding career in heavy civil construction and public infrastructure before founding the BrentOliver541 Foundation to turn personal survival into service for others facing similar barriers. Today the Foundation is advancing a growing platform of real-world initiatives designed to restore meaningful access at scale. These include the development of the Meaningful Access Coalition, a multi-sector effort bringing together public officials, federal land managers, outdoor industry partners, and local communities to address systemic barriers that prevent mobility-limited Americans from using public lands and outdoor infrastructure. Our first major pilot project launches in 2026 to demonstrate practical accessibility improvements that can be replicated nationally. To drive national attention to the issue of meaningful access, the Foundation is also supporting a documentary project, A Life Driven: The Remarkable Story of Brent Oliver, and a high-visibility world record attempt designed to highlight what is possible when barriers are removed and opportunity is restored. These efforts are intended to elevate awareness, attract partners, and build momentum behind real solutions that improve independence and quality of life for people with mobility challenges. While the mission and projects are already in motion, the organization is at a critical growth stage. Skilled volunteer support can significantly accelerate our ability to expand impact. We are seeking professionals who can help strengthen key areas such as communications strategy, fundraising development, sponsorship materials, partnership outreach, marketing infrastructure, and operational systems that allow the organization to grow responsibly and sustainably. The BrentOliver541 Foundation exists to ensure that mobility limitations do not mean exclusion from life’s opportunities. By combining lived experience, practical solutions, and strategic partnerships, our goal is to restore meaningful access where it has been lost and build systems that allow more people to fully participate in the outdoors and in life.
