Design an Investor's Pitch Deck
A professionally designed pitch deck will enable our team to secure the funding needed to expand the reach of this message through a six-month statewide public awareness campaign in Illinois. By broadcasting short versions of these videos during television commercial breaks, we can extend rail safety education beyond classrooms and presentations to reach a much broader public audience.
Once completed, the pitch deck will be actively used by our team to present the campaign to potential investors and funding partners. The goal is to secure support for a six-month public awareness campaign that will broadcast 15–30 second versions of the videos during television commercial breaks across Illinois. This campaign will expand the reach of the message beyond classrooms and presentations, bringing rail safety education directly to residents across the state.
The video series at the center of this campaign features powerful firsthand testimonials from individuals affected by rail-related incidents. Their stories serve as a compelling call to action and help audiences understand the real consequences of unsafe behavior near railroad tracks.
A volunteer’s contribution to this project will help bring this campaign to life. By strengthening how we present the initiative to potential funders, their work will directly support efforts to increase rail safety awareness across Illinois. Our goal is to reach thousands of residents and ultimately see a significant reduction in rail-related incidents throughout the state.
These videos are already being used nationally as part of rail safety presentations delivered through Operation Lifesaver programs. They are currently shared in driver education courses, professional driver training programs, and classrooms serving grades 6–12 to promote safe behaviors near railroad tracks. The project has also received strong support and buy-in from fellow Operation Lifesaver coordinators across the country who share the same mission of preventing rail-related incidents through education and outreach.
Our team has organized the key materials needed for the development of a strong pitch deck. We will provide supporting resources including literature documenting the organization’s outreach and education efforts, relevant statistics on rail incidents in Illinois, and access to the full testimonial videos for each subject featured in the series.
