Conduct a Donor-Focused Website Audit of uFondwa.org
uFondwa.org is the U.S.-based support organization for the University of Fondwa in Haiti. The website’s primary purpose is to attract and retain donors, and its secondary purpose is to reinforce organizational credibility through transparency, clarity, and impact. In the near future, we anticipate closer integration between uFondwa.org and the University of Fondwa’s website (unif.edu.ht), and we want to ensure our site is well positioned for that transition.
We are seeking a volunteer to conduct a concise audit of uFondwa.org from a donor’s perspective. The audit should assess how clearly the mission is communicated, how effectively the site encourages giving, and how well credibility is conveyed through governance, financial transparency, and impact. Particular attention should be paid to how the University of Fondwa is currently represented and what university-related information a donor would reasonably expect to see.
The volunteer will deliver a short written summary with practical, prioritized recommendations. This should include strengths of the current site, key gaps or opportunities for improvement, and guidance on what university information should be added to uFondwa.org now versus what should remain on the Haiti-based site. The goal is to provide clear, actionable guidance that strengthens donor confidence and supports future website integration.
Mission and Clarity
-Is the organization’s mission immediately clear on the homepage and key pages?
-Does the website clearly explain the connection between uFondwa.org and the University of Fondwa in Haiti?
-Are the programs and impact easy to understand for a donor unfamiliar with Haiti or the university?
Donor Engagement
-Are donation options easy to find and understand?
-Is the “why give” message compelling and clear?
-Are calls to action (donate, volunteer, subscribe) prominent and actionable?
Credibility and Trust
-Are financials easy to locate and understandable?
-Are leadership, governance, and organizational structure clearly presented?
-Is evidence of impact or outcomes effectively communicated?
University Representation
-What information about the University of Fondwa is currently on the site?
-What university-related content might donors expect to see but is missing?
-How could university information be presented now to prepare for future website integration?
Content and Usability
-Is the site easy to navigate? Are pages logically organized?
-Are the images, stories, and content engaging and appropriate for a donor audience?
-Are there technical issues (broken links, slow pages, outdated info) that should be fixed?
Recommendations
-What are the top 3-5 improvements that would have the greatest impact for donors?
-What content could be added or restructured to reinforce credibility and trust?
-What steps should be taken now versus after integrating with the university site?
