May 3 Los Angeles PR Outreach Plan
Here is what we are hoping to create together:
• A clear PR outreach plan with key messages and 2-3 compelling pitch angles
• A prioritized list of local LA media outlets and press opportunities
• A suggested outreach timeline leading up to May 3rd
This is a high-profile event with incredible momentum behind it. The right PR strategy could significantly amplify our reach and impact for teen girls across Los Angeles.
We anticipate this project will take 2-5 hours per week over 4-6 weeks. Full event details, talking points, and organizational background will be shared during our volunteer kickoff conversation.
If you are passionate about women, girls, mental health, and the power of sport — this one is for you.
Our summit, Girls In Motion: Teens in Sports, Mental Wellness and Social Media, is happening in Los Angeles on May 3rd. This event tackles one of the most pressing issues facing young women today — the intersection of mental health, social media, and sport.
By volunteering, you are helping bring to life:
• A live podcast recording of Welcome to the Party hosted by Abby Wambach and Julie Foudy
• A social media wellness session led by Angel City FC's Gisele Thompson
• Programming in partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative, the Women's Sports Foundation, the National Alliance for Eating Disorders, and Athletes Unlimited
We are also in active dialogue with Olympians Mia Hamm, Natasha Watley, Natasha Hastings, Samantha Arsenault, Allyson Felix, and Jordan Thompson about being featured at the summit.
Every teen girl who walks through those doors will leave with tools, inspiration, and a community that has her back. Your presence on the volunteer team makes that possible.
This is more than an event. It is a movement — and we would love for you to be part of it.
Our leadership team is fully aligned behind Girls In Motion as our flagship event of the year. Key partnerships are already in place with the Clinton Global Initiative, the Women's Sports Foundation, the National Alliance for Eating Disorders, and Athletes Unlimited.
Confirmed talent includes Angel City FC's Gisele Thompson and a live podcast recording with Abby Wambach and Julie Foudy. We are in active dialogue with Olympians Mia Hamm, Natasha Watley, Natasha Hastings, Samantha Arsenault, Allyson Felix, and Jordan Thompson.
The date is set. The venue is secured. Volunteers will have clear roles, a point of contact, and all materials ready in advance. We respect your time and will make every hour count.
