Help us become more coordinated and efficient with our design efforts in Canva! We have already developed and approved the content, language, and brand direction. What we need now is support translating these materials into well-organized, editable Canva templates that can be shared publicly as open-source resources.

The volunteer would help with:
Converting finalized PDFs and documents into Canva templates
Structuring layouts for clarity and ease of editing
Applying consistent fonts, color palette, and formatting
Creating template versions that can be duplicated and customized by external partners
Ensuring files are organized and clearly labeled for public use

We anticipate this work taking approximately 2–5 hours per week over 4–6 weeks, depending on availability and pace. The deliverable would be a small suite of polished, ready-to-share Canva templates aligned with our existing brand guidelines.
Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will help make civic engagement tools accessible to communities nationwide.

The National Museum and Center for Service works to elevate and make visible the role of service in American democracy. As part of our national initiative, we are creating plug-and-play resources that schools, community organizations, and local leaders can use to highlight service in their own communities.

By helping us convert materials into clean, accessible Canva templates, the volunteer will:

Increase the usability of our public-facing resources

Make it easier for communities to localize and customize materials

Support civic education and engagement efforts across the country

Help scale our impact beyond our immediate team

This is a practical but meaningful project: strong templates directly enable communities to tell their own stories of service.
-All documents that need to be translated are complete and approved
-Brand guidelines (fonts, colors, formatting standards) are clearly defined
-We have identified the exact materials that will be included in scope
-Internal leadership has approved this work and is committed to implementing the templates once completed
-I will serve as the direct project lead and point of contact. I will provide: a clear onboarding call, access to Canva brand settings, organized source documents, weekly check-ins (if helpful), prompt feedback and clear decision-making

Once completed, these templates will be implemented immediately and shared publicly through our website and national partner networks.
