We need a volunteer skilled in HR management, policy development, and staff development to help us create an HR framework that outlines core components of an Executive Director employment agreement, a formal annual performance review process aligned to strategic goals, and high-level succession planning recommendations. The wrinkle is that the ED is the founder and has been operating w/o an agreement for over a decade. We are not looking for legal advice but HR compliance suggestions and best practices.

A clear, fair employment framework will strengthen governance, support and sustain the Executive Director, and improve accountability so the organization can focus on program quality. This stability helps the nonprofit continue empowering foster youth through storytelling and filmmaking.

The board supports developing formal HR guidance and will share background materials and stakeholder perspectives. Volunteers will collaborate with board members to refine and produce a practical framework the board can adopt and implement. The Board will obtain a legal review before implementation.
