Research a Set of Resources for our Partner Nonprofits (Spanish)
Please note all of these resources MUST be in Spanish, since we work in Central America, and you will need proficiency in Spanish for this project.
We want to identify a set of easy to understand, Spanish language open source resources, particularly in the following 5 areas: Monitoring and Evaluation; Project Development; Strategic Nonprofit Communications; Financial Management and Stewardship; and Safeguarding and Child Protection. Volunteer management and fundraising are also areas of interest. We get frequency requests for support in these areas, and we'd love to be able to point our partners to key resources to get them started. We can work with the Taproot volunteer to prioritize areas of mutual interest.
The pro bono consultant would help to identify freely available resources (ideally 1-3 resources per area to start) and post them within the Circle Community that Fabretto has already set up. Circle is a very user-friendly platform - no special tech skills are needed. The resources need to be posted with a short description (in Spanish) of how it could help our nonprofit partners. For example, we might post a free guide from the World Bank on how to create a logical framework and write a 2 sentence description about why this could help our partners.
We think that this project could be an interesting opportunity for someone who enjoys research, wants to give back to help organizations in Central America, and is knowledgeable about nonprofit capacity building topics. The challenge is really finding the right resources, and experience working with grassroots organizations in Central America would be a huge plus!
Fabretto collaborates with nonprofit organizations that work closely with communities in Central America to empower children, youth, and their families. Together, we work to improve the quality of education and opportunities in Honduras and Guatemala. We work with our impact partners because we believe in the Power of Partnerships. Together, we can do more and increase the positive impact on children and youth in Central America.
We are committed to creating meaningful, impactful opportunities for institutional strengthening for our partnership to lift local organizations and contribute to their sustainability and long-term impact. We approach institutional strengthening with our partners from a position of solidarity and humility. We do not have all of the answers, and we, too, continue to learn alongside our partners and their experiences.
This project will help us create a valuable institutional strengthening opportunity for a network of 12 partners, impacting thousands of children and youth with education and community development programs each day.
