Website Audit and Recommendations
Our website is built on Wix and is fully functional, but we believe it could better communicate what we do and guide visitors clearly toward action. We want to ensure that every major page clearly explains our mission, how the program works, and what visitors should do next.
Specifically, we are looking for support to:
Conduct a structured review of all core website pages and identify areas where messaging can be clearer or more compelling
Improve the user experience and information flow, particularly for our four primary calls to action:
Donate Medications
Donate Funds
Get Medications
Volunteer
Refine and strengthen page copy to ensure it is concise, mission-aligned, and easy to understand
Recommend improvements to page structure, layout, and conversion flow
Help ensure that each page clearly answers the question: “What is this program and what should I do next?”
Provide practical guidance so our team can implement and maintain improvements going forward
We have draft copy ideas and strong clarity about our mission and program operations, but we would benefit from an experienced external perspective to ensure our messaging is as clear and effective as possible.
Our goal is not a full website rebuild, but rather a focused content and user experience refinement that increases clarity, trust, and engagement.
Our website is often the first place someone encounters our work. It is where a pharmacy decides whether to donate medication, where a clinic learns how to enroll as a dispensing partner, where a patient looks for help, and where an individual considers making a donation.
When our website is unclear or difficult to navigate, opportunities are lost. Potential medication donations may never be initiated. Volunteers may not follow through. Donors may hesitate. Clinics may not understand how to participate.
By helping us improve the clarity, structure, and flow of our website, a volunteer will directly strengthen how we communicate our mission and guide people to action. Clearer pathways mean more donated medications rescued, more funding secured to sustain operations, and more patients receiving the prescriptions they need to stay healthy.
Behind each improvement is a real outcome. When someone can easily understand how to donate medication, that medicine can be redistributed instead of destroyed. When a clinic clearly understands how to partner with us, more patients gain access to care. When a donor understands our impact, we build sustainable support that allows the program to grow.
This project helps ensure that the story of turning medication waste into patient care is communicated clearly and effectively, so more Minnesotans can benefit from the program.
Our website is built on Wix and is currently maintained internally by our small team. While the site is functional, it has not been strategically reviewed in some time, and improving clarity and user flow is now a priority for 2026.
As the executive lead, I am prepared to actively participate in this project and provide clear direction. I have already outlined how I would like several key pathways to improve, including:
The Volunteer page flow
The Medication Donation pathway
The Dispensing Partner pathway
The Individual Donation pathway
We have brand guidelines, draft messaging ideas, program impact data, and a working understanding of our primary audiences. I am prepared to provide this material, respond quickly to questions, and collaborate efficiently to refine and implement improvements.
This is not a request for a full rebuild. The goal is a focused refinement of messaging, structure, and clarity within our existing Wix platform so that visitors better understand what we do and what action to take.
The outcomes of this project will be implemented directly and maintained going forward. Strengthening our website is an important step in supporting program growth, public awareness, and long-term sustainability.
